Temperature/Humidity: When setting up the tank it must be kept in mind that the humidity needs to be at about 100%. Most of the time my tanks are at about 80% and they do fine with that. The temperature needs to remain between 70-84' F. Temps. being too low/high will cause stress and could result in fatalities.
Feeding:
There are a few things to choose from when feeding the Dendrobatidae family. Depending on the species of frogs, the size of the insects will differ. Always dust your bugs with some form of multivitamins and calcium supplements. I prefer to use Rep-Cal Herptivitive and Rep-Cal Calcium with vit. D3. I mix a bit of both into an empty 32oz. cup and then dump in some flies. Mix em all together and then pour flies into tank. This technique takes some practice to keep the remainder of dust in the cup instead of in the tank.
Flightless fruitflies: Most commonly used is the Drosophila Melanogaster or Hydei. This is known as the flightless fruitfly. The Hydei is slightly larger than the Melano's and is used to feed the larger species and sometimes the Mantellas.

Termites: Depending on the season, one can obtain termites to feed the frogs and this method works very well for fattening a slim/sickly frog.
Springtails: This is a very small insect that is usually used when working with "thumbnail" species of darts. They are very small and can be used for newly morphed froglets as well.
